continuing on with this week of remembrance for one of the best trips i have taken, i want to relive this time over&over again. this was our amtrack ride from birmingham, alabama to new orleans, louisiana. swamps, rivers, bridges, and cemetaries for miles. no better feeling of freedom in the world....*

Bulgaria in Lomo.*
this girl has a good blog. she takes pictures only with lomo cameras and she just went to bulgaria to shoot. i have been dying to visit eastern europe for ages for exactly this reason. is embodies my love for the beauty of decay and decrepitude more than any other place in the world due to all it's been through. check her out at analogphotoblog.com.*

India: The Banglewalas.*
i just love these because of moody yet vibrant colors..."wala" means "man," so a "banglewala" is the "bangle man." they press your hands together in a certain way to fit your bangles so you never take them off until they break, and then you replace them. there are about a million of them right next to one another so when you go to one booth the others just get super bummed because they all carry the same stock and it's just a matter of random choice. who will make money today?*

Mitakuye Oyasin : All My Relations.*
so ian recently showed me this photo site and it's filled to the brim with tons of relevant and beautiful work. i haven't even had a chance to fully explore each artist's work yet, but i especially love this body of work by Aaron Huey, titled "Mitakuye Oyasin: All My Relations," taken from his time spent on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. check it out, and check out the site at tinyvices.com>.*
