if you haven't yet seen this beautiful video, here you go. i remember seeing broadcast as a teenager and falling in loooovee...they recently made this collaborative mini-album that you can download from warp.net, and the title is gorgeous: "Broadcast and the Focus Group Investigate Witch Cults of the Radio Age.*
i'm not saying this is the best song ever, but she's got dope hands. i remember my "gothic chola" days of a few years back: black capes, big hoops, heavy liquid eyeliner, and pro nails a la' goth, complete with spiderwebs and glitter bats. i concluded that fake nails are for girls who don't have to (or just don't) clean their own homes, garden and do lots of handicrafts, and they're pretty inconvenient, but damn, do i miss them! to pro nail, or not to pro nail?*
people tend to be very opinionated when it comes to dash snow. some glorify, other criticize. ian knew him in ny and was really sad when he passed this summer....just like kurt in so many ways (collages, heroin overdose, leaving behind a wife and daughter, blonde and gorgeous...). but i can relate, so i can't judge. beautiful man, beautiful lust for life.*
finally, i got my film back from the fourth of july madness (only 4 months later).... natives hunting in the wild... check us out as we check out the before and after in foreign curiosity... and the hippie candy and rainbow jacuzzi madness made it all whirl around us in a holographic melange of perfect naturalism.*
over the summer, ian and i went to go check out the cobra shop and ian sold a bunch of posters there and i brought some pillows to decorate...here they live, on the couch in front of the video games, for cute little cool kids to lounge on. i love the check he got from them; they are so endearing..the memo says, "For: CAT" in like 1st grader writing. boy handwriting rules.*
dear 27th birthday, you started out so great, and you ended up being the end of an era (well, kind of). before it all went sour, it was kind of glorious.*
oh, oxfords....oh, boots....oh, harry potter, how i love thee....*

running around LA, some of the things to be seen: lots of writing on the walls, super-cute dracula cat posters, neon-wearing trannies who say we look like fun girls, and, my favorite, the man who wanted to tell us all about his planet out in space.*
