so the lovely homegurl rochelle of mapache jewelry hosted this month's flea market at SPACE 15 TWENTY in hollywood. vintage paradise, good music, and a great art space installation by sprfkr y mapache. check out her interview on the space15twenty site as well as this fashion blog that kindly featured yours truly, my friend nicky lee of repose vintage, and other fashionistas/fashionistos of the day at pazzesca. stephie and i also finally got the pleasure of getting our nails done by the ladies of kleur. the tropical future took us over.*

Beastly Oracle y Mapache Jewelry Booth @ The Rose Bowl.*

so yesterday i did my second booth, and it was my first time at the infamous pasadena rose bowl flea market. after days of sewing and 1.5 hrs of sleep saturday night, our little pop-up shop was voted best booth!!!! the mapache and beastly oracle party was a definite success. mothers and daughters, teenage inheritance, and all-american snacks. HURRIEDLY HUNTING, Beastly Oracle Zine #2 is officially for sale. featuring street art/graffiti superstars remeo and cat cult, there are & will be only 20 copies. all prints on vellum covers, and each zine is individually sewn and drawn on. PayPal button coming in a couple days, so keep an eye out and grab one while they last!*

SPACE15TWENTY: Calling all Gypsies.*

so i visited SPACE 15 TWENTY for their monthly flea market, where local designers and vintage sellers come together inside the courtyard that is bordered by the flagship LA urban outsiftters, hennessey + ingalls, free people, what goes around comes around, and a rotating pop up shop to tempt you to empty your wallet within an hour. they always have good events, like today's flea market where the girls from show pony opened up their storage space and sold the remaining gold from the magical "art and fashion installation space for musicians to perform and creative young designers and jewelry makers to showcase one-of-kind magical pieces." i scored these amazing maroon elf shoes, a gypsy top from the 70's, and some southwest-navajo-y clothes to welcome the summer. check it at space15twenty and see the flea market newsletter here.*

The Cobra Shop + Cat Pillow Love.*

over the summer, ian and i went to go check out the cobra shop and ian sold a bunch of posters there and i brought some pillows to decorate...here they live, on the couch in front of the video games, for cute little cool kids to lounge on. i love the check he got from them; they are so endearing..the memo says, "For: CAT" in like 1st grader writing. boy handwriting rules.*
