last friday night was the holiday fashion soiree/trunk show event DRIPPED, filled with fashionistas, runway shows, some incredible performance art, and some of the most gorgeous handmade jewelry treasures i have ever laid eyes on. this event satisfied & inspired on so many levels. WIFE, the performance group below, was so beautifully postmodern with their movements between light & darkness. each artist linked below makes extraordinary treasures, and while i don't have the time to showcase all of their work, please do click on them and check out their baroque headpieces, personalized crystal jewelry based on astrological charts, and bead & metalwork. what's truly happening in the here & now is quite magickal.*

so the lovely homegurl rochelle of mapache jewelry hosted this month's flea market at SPACE 15 TWENTY in hollywood. vintage paradise, good music, and a great art space installation by sprfkr y mapache. check out her interview on the space15twenty site as well as this fashion blog that kindly featured yours truly, my friend nicky lee of repose vintage, and other fashionistas/fashionistos of the day at pazzesca. stephie and i also finally got the pleasure of getting our nails done by the ladies of kleur. the tropical future took us over.*

so i stumbled across these images on this blog called nowthisisgothic and fell into a momentary lapse of the age-old "remember when..." nostalgic haze. i wasn't even old enough to be into this until a decade after it passed, but it still feels like a part of my heritage in a weird way. i wish real goth kids still looked this cool....*

Pink Friday: Make Way for the New Queen of Pop.*

why do i love her SO MUCH? she's really a good rapper, has bomb style, is like the hip hop lady gaga, and has an ass that is beyond impossible to describe in words. (there are rumours about her getting ass implants, but she denies it and i'm pretty sure it's b.s.) the first is video is an official one, and the last two are just slideshows because there aren't videos yet, but the songs are so catchy that i included them anyway. speaking of pink friday, i danced to this shit for an hour straight friday night and busted such intense hip hop moves that now i have a limp and a knee problem that isn't quitting. that's called inspiration.*
