thinking of kenneth anger makes me think of anais nin, and vice versa. french-cuban flamenco dancer, diarist, psychoanalyst, speaker, and literary critic, she journaled from age 11 until shortly before her death in 1977, publishing her memoirs, erotica, and short stories. referring to her two simultaneous marriages as her "bicoastal trapeze," her most famous partner in life was henry miller, with whom she lived a beautiful bohemian lifestyle.
